Longboard wheels for downhill, slide, grip and cruising

Wheels for all types of longboards and skateboard and all uses. Depending on the properties, you can choose the perfect wheel for you, made of polyurethane material. Pay attention to the diameter, width and hardness for different uses such as cruising, carving, slide, dancing, downhill, freeride, surf skating or street skating.

Find the compromise between grip, slide ability and speed so that you can really enjoy longboarding, skateboarding or surf skating.

There are different topics:

Hardness – the formula here: the higher the number, the harder the wheel is. Very soft wheels are suitable for rough roads, hard wheels are very good for sliding

Here we recommend to note:

75a - 80a are very soft, have a lot of grip and comfort and are suitable for fast turns and bad pavement - ideal for cruising

80a - 85a are soft wheels and good all-rounders with a lot of grip and comfort, they are very suitable for cruisers, freeride and dancing

85a - 90a are hard wheels for good roads and paths, little resistance, little abrasion, less wear, more speed - perfect for downhill, freeride and carving

90a - and higher - are very hard wheels intended for smooth streets and skate parks, are very fast and are perfect for slides, skate parks and bowls

Diameter – most bought wheels are between 60mm and 101mm. The big wheels run better at high speeds and the bearing doesn't overheat as quickly. The small wheels accelerate and decelerate better. For example, the smaller wheels are suitable for sliding, the larger wheels are better for downhill. Pay attention to the height of your board so that there are no wheelbits.

Wheel core – the hub is placed differently in the reel:

Centerset - weight is evenly distributed and wear is equally even,

Sideset - the hub is on the inner side, such a wheels are very suitable for sliding because the outer edge is relieved, but wear out quickly in a conical shape

and offset - slightly offset from the center and affects the grip behavior of the wheel.

Contact patch – the width of the wheel is very important for grip and rolling resistance. The wider the longboard wheel, the smoother it is when driving, but the resistance is also very high, the narrower wheels are well suited for sliding.

Wheel edges - the so-called lip is rounded or square on the longboard wheels. The rounded wheels are very good for sliding because they have less grip, the square wheels are logically grippy.
