An American old-school skateboard company founded in Santa Barbara in 1978 by George Powell and Stacy Peralta was one of the first skateboard companies to produce urethane skateboard wheels. But the company's success came later. The recession followed with the skateboard boom in the 80s and the two founders parted ways. During this time, George Powell founded another cult brand. Bones Wheels and Bones Bearings, which today is an integral part of the skateboard and longboard universe.

In 1991 they reunited the Powell and Peralta and since then have been producing the classics but also the new skateboard wheels and different shapes of skateboard decks.
