Longboard trucks for beginners, downhill, slide, carver, surf skate or cruiser can be found here in different widths and geometries.

We UrbanBoarding Longboard Shop have all well-known longboard truck brands such as Carver, Paris, Smoothstar, Yow, Randal, Arsenal, Polster, Viking, Seismic, Independent, Bear, Caliber, Part and Trucker.

When choosing a longboard truck, you have to answer the question of what you want to do, where you ride and how you want your board to behave. The individual parts of an axle play a major role here. You can adjust and replace many parts if necessary.

Mounting - Top Mount or Drop Through.

With a top mount, the axle is classically screwed to the underside of the board.

The drop through trucks are mounted through a cutout in the deck. The deck is therefore lower and is more comfortable to drive (especially for beginners) because the distance to the ground is very small.

Hanger - a T-pice of an truck connected to the baseplate by kingpins. Two plastic bushings on the kingpin ensure that the truck can move. You need two bushings: upper and lower. The lower bushing is between the baseplate and the hanger, the upper bushing is between the hanger and the head of the kingpin.

You can adjust the steering method of your longboard truck via kingpin. The looser this screw, the easier the axle will steer. But you can also control the steering via bushings. The small bushings are available in different hardnesses and the harder the bushings, the more stable the truck is, e.g. at higher speeds. They also come in different shapes: cones and barrels.

Cones up and down - cruising to carving

Cones on top, barrels on the bottom - carving to freeride

Barrels up and down - Freeride to Downhill

The steering of a longboard truck can also be controlled via pivot angles. Here the rule applies: a large angle - for better turns, a small angle for more speed. You can change this angle with wedge-shaped riser pads - they come between the baseplate and the deck. It's an easy and cheap method and can also help when dealing with Wheelbits. The other option would be to change the whole axle with the desired angle or buy one with a reverse kingpin.

In UrbanBoarding we have sorted the trucks for you into different categories to make your decision easier: beginner trucks, cruise and carve longboard trucks, slide and freeride trucks, downhill and speed trucks, slalom trucks and old school & pool & bowl trucks.

Of course, UrbanBoarding offers various longboard trucks in different color variations.
